The Bummer Line: Kansas City, Year 2

After a summer in Maine, I headed back to the prairie lands. The second year at KCAI went by quickly. In fact, for a declared photo/video major, that time is poorly documented with snapshots. Thankfully, ODA saved some pics.

We got a new apartment in the Wiltshire building on Warwick. It was dirt cheap (like $250/mo), and a step up from the famously roach-infested Afton two doors down.

Tina remembers our sophomore period as the "year of the hair."
Before...

...and after it got cut.

Here's a shot of Buddy (Cecil) on our spring break alternative to the Floridian hot spots:
Elephant Rocks in the Ozarks!

Eric (Cagivaduc) and Rachel in the painting studio.

Tina took pictures of me taking pictures of dead things
(Great Horned Owl above in KC cemetery)

The next summer, I returned to Maine and documented it, from Rangeley to Eastport. By the end of August, I'd taken about 100 rolls of film and put more than 800 miles on the GMC. This was the first image - it's the walking bridge that connects Brunswick and Topsham.

My grandfather's work bench.

Simon with mouse.

Deer in jar.

Greg with fish.

Abandoned sardine factory in Machias.

Raccoon, Route 1 north.

Northfield, near Bog Lake: One of my favorite spots in the world.

I love seeing the pictures you took, back before video stole the photography star. You have an amazing eye and lets get one of these old B&W photos framed for our new home.
